An atelier steeped in old masters.
Artisimus is a Tedooo atelier: your photo, painted after the old masters, made to order on gallery canvas or remade in glitter resin, glass mosaic, a woven blanket, an embroidered pillow or a stained glass suncatcher. Its library gathers portraits, families, pets, homes and still lifes from the Renaissance to the moderns, each one a style your photo can be painted into.

The sensibility is simple: a fascination with old paintings and with the details that reward a second look — the light on a collar, the fall of a sleeve, a dog asleep at someone’s feet. Artisimus carries that way of seeing into a portrait of your own.
A tradition with a memory

Our styles are part of the story. Each one follows a painting from the long tradition of portraiture, from Renaissance courts to the salons of the nineteenth century: a tradition shaped by patrons, sitters and centuries of looking.
For centuries a portrait was a commission: a sitter, a painter and many sittings in the studio. The great portraitists learned to hold a likeness and a mood in the same picture, and their ways of painting light, cloth and character became traditions of their own.
Many of those paintings now hang in museums, and many are in the public domain. Our library follows them closely: each style is a new picture made after a public-domain work, so a card can say it is “after” its painter, truthfully.

Behind Artisimus is a library of paintings chosen for portraiture: sitters and families, children and couples, dogs, cats and horses, houses and still lifes. Each one was chosen because a photo of today can live inside it.
A painting offers more than a likeness. It holds a way of arranging light, a palette, a pose, an atmosphere: the qualities your portrait keeps when it is painted after it.
Every painting in the library is also a masterwork in its own right: the same picture can be ordered as it is, on gallery-wrapped canvas, from the Masterworks collection. Many are remade in a material too: a glitter resin panel, a glass mosaic, a woven blanket, an embroidered pillow or a stained glass suncatcher.
